Community-focused leadership

Building The Future of Half Moon Bay - Together.

"I did not make the decision to run for City Council lightly. I thought carefully about what matters most to my family, friends, neighbors, and the people who call the Coastside home. I asked myself a simple question: “Can I help?” The answer was clear: yes, I can. I can listen. I can be a strong voice for the community I grew up in and love so deeply. And I can work side by side with residents, city leaders, and community partners to move Half Moon Bay forward with purpose and action."

Morasci Campaign Priorities

SET OBTAINABLE PRIORITIES

If you know me, you know I am goal oriented. I believe in setting priorities that are realistic, measurable, and tied to results. Too often, I have seen the same priorities appear year after year without enough progress. Half Moon Bay deserves better. As a council member, I will work to set achievable goals, follow through on commitments, and keep the community informed about what is being done, what still needs work, and how we are moving forward.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Half Moon Bay deserves a city government that plans carefully, spends responsibly, and protects the services our community depends on. With the City facing a deficit and costs continuing to rise, we must take a proactive, disciplined approach to the budget. That means asking hard questions, setting clear priorities, and making decisions with both today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges in mind. As a council member, I will work to strengthen oversight, promote fiscal responsibility, and help put Half Moon Bay on a more sustainable path.

OPEN COMMUNICATION

Local government works best when people feel heard, informed, and included. In today’s world, there is no excuse for City Hall to feel out of reach. We have the tools to communicate clearly, listen broadly, and make sure residents understand the decisions that affect their daily lives. My background in coaching and law has taught me how to listen carefully, build trust, work collaboratively, and stay focused on shared goals. As a council member, I will prioritize accessible communication, transparency, and meaningful community engagement.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR EVERYONE

As a multigenerational Coastsider, I have seen how difficult it has become for people to stay in the community they love. Too many longtime residents, working families, young adults, and seniors are being priced out of Half Moon Bay. Affordable housing is essential to the future of our town; for the next generation who should have the chance to build their lives here, the farmworkers, teachers, nurses, firefighters, small business employees, and retirees. As a council member, I will approach housing with care, intention, and a commitment to solutions that reflect the needs and character of our community. I want the young people I coach, and all young Coastsiders, to be able to call this place home for a lifetime.
